File2HD.com - Download Myspace MP3s at high quality!
Now with file2hd.com you can download myspace mp3s at the original artist quality… the same file that the artist uploaded… also with id3 tags! no more crappy quality mp3s!!
Steps:
- Go to file2hd.com
- Enter the myspace band url, set the filter to audio, and click get files
- Right click on the song that you wish to download (You can select between low or full quality version)
Notes:
- It does not work for all users… So if you can’t get the original file you will have to live with the low quality version or try on another computer with a different IP or use a proxy.
- To avoid typing the filename use Firefox to make the downloads…

1st off - Love the site.
Have downloaded thousands of songs thanks to it.
Found a problem though.
Have tested this newer version in Maxthon 1.6.3, Maxthon 2.0, and also in Firefox 2.0.0.12, and it simply won’t download the High Quality versions in any of them.
Correction; It does in fact download an MP3 file, but it’s only 27 bytes in length each time.
Any ideas?

It does work but only on some artists. Heres how I did it:
MYSPACE PROPER HIGHQUALITY RIPPING

than go to
file2hd.com
type in Artist address.
filter for audio only
accept box
download high quality
change the extension to .mp3 and all files types
DOWNLOAD
open it and check its higher than 96kbps
if it is
the artist uploaded a higher quality and you got iT!
If its not higher
the artist uploaded a lower quality intentionally so you cant get a higher quality without buying it.

The proxy trick works like a charm except for on song titles that have an apostrophe in them. Is there a way around this?

For Mac users, hold down the control key when you click. Scroll down to download linked file. It will then download to the desktop.

To download songs with an apostrophe, you need just need to copy the link and then remove the odd characters (weird a and the boxes) where the ‘ should be. It works.
For example, change

this site is great and i was able to download the songs in high quality. u just have to use a proxy and when u right click the file to download make sure that u download it as “All Files” and name it watever u want but end it in “.mp3″ with out the apostrophes. thanks file2hd!! use Mozilla!!!! and by the way, when u download a song using this way, it will say that the file is an unknown file size. just wait until it finishes.

I’m unable to download the High Quality audio from any artists on MySpace. I always get an error 404 page not found when I try and save the files (while using various web proxies). Any chance MySpace has moved the location of these files?

When I use a proxie site in hopes of downloading the higher quality mp3, it shows up at “index.php” when I right click to download. It happens with every proxie I’ve tried, even the lower quality does it. Why is this?

EVERYONE! When it asks you if you want to download index.php save it was whateveryouwant.mp3 instead of index.php. Make sure “save as type” or whatever says “all files” and your file name is “whateveryouwant.mp3″ where whateveryouwant is whatever you wish it to be!

I love this site. It’s really really great. My only question… When I get a music artist who has a lot of songs on their profile, it doesn’t list all their songs to download in the list…. It always leaves out 1 or 2… Why is that???

Ok, here’s how to do it on a Mac while using Firefox:
1. Go to bogbone.com (yes bog, not dog).
2. In the blue box type http://www.file2hd.com and hit surf.
3. Once you’re there type in the address of whatever you’re ripping
4. Once you have your files listed (assuming music), right click on the file and hit “save link as”.
5. After that, rename it to whatever you want but it HAS to end with .mp3 and then save it.
6. Enjoy!

It doesn’t work at all on my Mac, and I tried everything that’s been said. The file starts downloading, then says ‘download cancelled - no file to download’. Usually on a link that you have to ctrl+click/save to desktop clicking on the link will brink you to a page with just the song playing, but when I click on the HD links it just says 404 File Not Found. :/

Okay, well when I download it, only the first 11 seconds of the song downloads. On my old XP, this site worked fine, but now that I’ve gotten a computer that runs on Vista, it hasn’t worked anymore. Is this the problem?

Hey I tried doing this and when I tried to download the high quality version, it said like internet explorer couldn’t download it but thats not the total problem. What the big problem is, is that when I download the low quality version it plays well but it says it’s a movie clip and I can’t change it to a mp3 file for iTunes.

OK whoever that can’t download the HQ version of songs, sorry for saying this (to FILE2HD) but.. if you change the “oringinal=1″ to “oringinal=2″ it works.

This doesn’t seem to be able to extract songs from the new myspace player.
When I search for audio for a certain band it comes back with their old tracks that were on the old player, but it doesn’t list some new tracks which were added recently on the new myspace player.
I hope that makes sense.

Your method does not work. It will still download that song in the low streaming quality version.
For example I’m trying to download this track in High Quality
